Homegating with Walmart + A Yummy Arkansas Razorback™ Chex Mix™ Recipe!

October 21, 2020

*This post is sponsored by General Mills, but all opinions are my own*

Tailgating is one of my favorite things to do during football season. The food, the fun, the friends.. all of it! However, with that looking a little different this year, Derek and I have been having a few people over to our house to “homegate”. We play backyard games, eat good food, and enjoy each other’s company.  I have been a puppy chow lover for years, and it is always such a hit whenever someone brings it over! Betty Crocker™ has an amazing recipe that I am sharing with you all today. Not only is it yummy, but it looks good too!

Betty Crocker Arkansas Razorback™ Chex Mix™Ingredients
6 cups Rice Chex™ Cereal
1 cup cocktail peanuts
1 bag (12 oz) white vanilla baking chips
1/4 cup red candy sprinkles
1 1/2 cups red candy-coated chocolate candies

Step 1: Line large rimmed pan with wax paper. In a large bowl, add cereal and peanuts

Step 2: In a medium microwavable bowl, microwave white vanilla baking chips uncovered on High for 45 seconds; stir. Continue microwaving and stirring in 15-second increments, until chips are melted and smooth.  Pour over cereal and peanuts; mix to coat. Spread mixture in pan; immediately top with sprinkles. Cool about 30 minutes or until set. (side note: do not try to mix on your pan as I did, it will not go well.  Just use a bowl!)

Step 3: Gently break up coated cereal mixture into bite-size pieces, and place in a large bowl. Toss in chocolate candies. Store covered in room temperature.

Making this recipe was so easy and it may or may not have all got eaten the day it was made. 😛 In addition to making this yummy mix, we also made tacos in the Old El Paso™ Stand N Stuff Taco Shells, Betty Crocker™ Fudge Brownies, Totinos™ Pizza Rolls™, Chex Mix™, and the one and only Garedetto’s™ Snack Mix!

Brownies are one of my favorite things to make because they are so easy! Just 3 ingredients all mixed together in a pre-heated oven and once they bake they will be heavenly! Little to no effort for such goodness.
