We took Preston to Orange Beach, Alabama, on Labor Day for his first beach trip and had the best time! We took my mom with us, so Derek and I had a date night (which we hurried back from because we missed him!), and we had time to go to the beach without P to enjoy ourselves while he napped. We stayed right on the water in THIS Airbnb, and it was affordable, nice and perfect for 3.5 people (do we count P as a full person yet?!).
There were a few things we brought for the occasion that I HIGHLY recommend.
- Babymov Tent – This was great for P to nap in and kept him out of the sunshine.
- Sandscreen – This is KEY to removing sand from you and your belongings.
- Towel Clips – You know when your towel falls off your chair, and you are constantly putting it back up, pulling it off your head, or shaking sand off? Well, these will solve that problem!
Preston did not mind the water or sand one bit – which is shocking! But at this age, he does not have much of an opinion on anything! I am already dreaming of when we can take him back – it will be such a different experience because he is learning and growing every day.
