WOWOWOWOWOWOW- the amount of questions you all have asked about Botox blew my mind! I did a question box on Instagram and they ranged all over the board! I can say that I am now OBSESSED with it annnnnnd I do not think I will ever go without it. This post is actually going to be answering all of those questions and my overall review of it!
How much does it cost? Botox can range all across the board when it comes to pricing! I have seen it advertised at little as $8 a unit, and as much as $15 units. The place I go (which I will answer in another question) charged $12!
How much Botox will I need? This is something that I can not answer. The only way to truly know is to go into a consultation, and then they will be able to adequately tell you how many units you need.
How much Botox did you get? So when I went in for my initial appointment, I got 27 total units. 10 of those were in between my eyes. However, on my follow up appointment we added two more so the muscle in between my eyes was a bit more frozen.
How long does it last? This just depends on the person! Usually it lasts anywhere between 3-4 months. However if you have a fast metabolism that can play into it, and if you workout a lot that will also play into it.
Is it better to get Botox before your wrinkles get bad, or do it before? So this question I feel like can be double sided. I got mine for preventative purposes. Did I have deep set in wrinkles? No. But when I moved my eyebrows up, it would make deeper wrinkles and my makeup would set in them. I HATED IT.
What is the difference between Botox and Dysport? I am not in the medical profession, sooo I am not 100% sure. From what I have read, they essentially do the same thing however Botox is 1:1 and Dysport is 6:1. So while Dysport may be cheaper per unit, it does take more units than Botox.
Where did you get your Botox Done? So I went to this Dermatology Clinic off of Rodney Parham here in Little Rock called Franks Dermatology! I went to the Nurse Practitioner there named Brooke Raney. She is so sweet!!! I loved going to them, very professional and will do anything to keep you comfortable.. Another thing I love about going to them is that on your follow up appointment, if you need to add any units to any parts they do it at no-cost. I LOVE that!
If you guys have any other questions, you can DM me on Instagram or leave them in the comments and I will answer all that I can 🙂
xoxo, Brooke Anne
