New York City in the summer trip? Of course! Back in May/June, I applied to create content for Park Central Hotel, and they accepted me! Derek and I are going to NYC this holiday season, so I wanted to take a girlfriend with me. I asked one of my best friends that I have had from grade school to come with me and we had the best time.
*Park Central gave me a discount to stay at their hotel and post on my Instagram. This is all because I love sharing my trips!*
We got on the first flight out of Little Rock at 6:00 am. We arrived in NYC before noon and it was so smart to do that. We arrived, freshened up in the hotel, and went on our merry way. First we stopped at this yummy Mexican restaurant by Times Square (have zero idea what it was called…haha sorry!) and then walked over to the Square.
I forgot to bring dry shampoo so (of course) we went to Sephora to get some. When we got to Sephora, we befriended a women who works for Moroccan Oil and they ended up doing our hair for us. With the humidity in NYC, I needed all of the TLC one could give. After Sephora, we did the most tourist thing one could do…. went to Sunglasses Hut. Haha! We both bought sunglasses. Cute ones! (Side note: At the lake last weekend mine fell off of my hat at our slip… sooooo hi Greers Ferry enjoy my Ray Bans. I had them for literally one week. SEVEN DAYS. I also can not find them online so that’s great.) We ended Friday night by going to the Rockefeller Building and seeing the views from Top of the Rock. You can pay an additional $10 for a sunrise/sunset view and I think that would be incredible!!
The next day (my only full day!) we went to brunch at 250 Fifth Rooftop Bar on Fifth Avenue. Go to their website to make a reservation. The bottomless option comes with one entree and bottomless mimosas (or just champagne if you are like us! :P). Well worth the $45/person reservation fee! It is outdoors, but if it rains they will move you inside and you can go outside for drinks/photos if the rain holds off. We spent this entire day with our dear friend who lives in NYC and had the BEST time!

Overall, take the trip. You will be sad you didn’t. If 2020 taught us anything, it is that life can change on a dime and you will take for granted the things you can no longer do (i.e. traveling, eating in a restaurant, etc).
