Derek and I are headed to Oahu, Hawaii, at the end of the month, and we are so excited! We are both fully vaccinated (YAY!!) and are finally going on a trip that will feel like a honeymoon since ours was canceled last May. (For those that do not know, Derek and I had to cancel our Honeymoon to London/Italy due to the pandemic.). [February 2022 update- Still haven’t been lol ] I feel like I have done tons of research on what to bring because we have never been before, and I would hate to be unprepared! Especially being so far away from home, and in a place where everything is notoriously more expensive. Helllooooo shipping costs!
When beginning to plan what I was going to bring, I started to look at the weather and things we were going to be doing. We have a rental car that we will drive around throughout the week to explore, and Hawaii is a very laid-back environment. So that means lots of loose-fitting clothes, swimsuits, and sandals!
Hawaii has lots of hiking trails, coffee shops, beaches, and outdoorsy things. We are going to hike Diamond Head (because, of course, we are), take the car to North Shore for a day, go to a Luau, explore Pearl Harbor, and go to Kualoa Ranch (this is where Jurrasic World: Fallen Kingdom was filmed). All of these activities are outdoor and are pretty active- so loose-fitting clothing is a must!
I am excited to share this trip with you all, and we are so excited to go somewhere we have never been before.
