Preston Mastered His First Year—that was the theme for our boy’s first birthday! Since his birthday falls in late April, right around the Masters Tournament, it felt like the perfect fit. We went all in on the golf theme, from the decorations to the little details that made the day extra special. Now, almost a year later, I figured I might as well document it all. If you’re thinking about a Masters-themed party for your little one, here’s a look at what we did!
The Backdrop

I teamed up with Just Peachy in Little Rock for this setup, and they absolutely nailed it! They handled the balloons, the boxwood wall, and the custom cutout, which all came together perfectly. Preston was obsessed with the balloons—at least until we started popping them! I found the highchair banner on Etsy (linked here) and customized it by adding a red ribbon for a little extra depth.
The Food
I went all in on the Masters theme, serving Pimento Cheese Croissants from Chicken Salad Chick, along with classic sweet tea and lemonade. The cake and cupcakes came from a local baker, while the cookies were an Etsy find. They looked absolutely adorable—though, as expected with online orders, they were more for looks than taste!

Can we take a moment to appreciate this grazing board? It was absolutely stunning and delicious! Boards by T in Little Rock set it up, and it was a total hit. Honestly, it was almost too pretty to eat—but that didn’t stop anyone! It fed everyone and added the perfect touch to the party spread.
Final Touches

The final touch was a beautiful floral arrangement from my favorite local florist, Tipton Hurst. It added the perfect pop of color to our dining room table and tied everything together.
Everyone had a great time, and I got so many compliments on the decorations. If your little one loves golf as much as mine does, I highly recommend this theme—it was a hole-in-one!
