Well.. It is safe to say I enjoyed the Nordstrom sale this year. However, the slides I were most excited for were awful. I mean… super uncomfortable. Anyway, lets get into what I loved, hated, and indifferent but kept anyway!
Love
The first thing that I absolutely loved were these joggers. I got Derek the mens version last year and he raves about them, so I just knew I wanted to get a pair and they are super comfortable and lightweight. They would be good year around! Secondly, the Tory Burch crossbody. Honestly, you get so much bang for your buck with Tory Burch. It is great quality and have medium prices. They are also good for any age range, and would be a first bag for someone wanting something nicer 🙂
Moving right on along to what might be my favorite purchase, the slides!! Yall, they are $24 still! I loved them so much that I went ahead and ordered the brown and white pair also. They are actually incredible, give support, and are good quality! The black western style booties are also going to be a staple for Fall. They were pretty affordable and can be worn with a variety of items!
I have wanted Tory Burch logo studs for a few years now, but could never pull the trigger. When I saw these on sale I just knew I had to have them. I have had them for two weeks and have worn them about every other day. Not kidding!
And for the comfortable options, Derek loves these shorts just like he does the joggers. So I had to snag him an extra pair, as well as this cozy and long flannel for me to wear this fall when (or if) it gets cooler.
Kept But Could Live Without
I really love these booties. The heel is just a tad high for me. They are great quality, so I knew they would be a good buy! They will be very versatile for Fall and Winter, and this color is the perfect October neutral. Ask me again this fall and I bet my opinion has changed. Ha! Same with the black sneakers! They were very affordable and comfortable, I just have a thing for sneakers and own a lot so there is no telling how much I will end up wearing them. The plain pink blouse is also one that I should really probably return. It was on sale, but still $30. I can get this same shirt at Ann Taylor or Express on super sale for under $20. I am desperate for solid work blouses so I kept it.
Miss
First off of the slides were such a disappointment. Cute? Yes. Everything else was a no. They fit true to size but they had such little support in the toe box and the material felt very strange on my feet. On sale they were $80 (!!!!!!!), and they were not worth that. I told Derek the slides that I got two years ago at Target for $28 were leaps and bounds better. They were #returned. Now onto the pants. These were SO not flattering. (Keep in mind, I hate getting items hemmed.) On sale, these guys were $50 (!!!!!!) and my thought was that they were black work pants and I would wear them all of the time…. NOT. They came below my ankle bone so they were an awkward length and they were too big on my waist but pulled a tad on the pockets because of my hips. Unless you do not have any curves, stay away from these pants! Lastly, the polo. Honestly, this was a miss for Derek but it most likely would not be a miss for many people. Mr. Hollowoa has become really in love with the Lululemon polos, and this one was “too long” and “does not fit right”, so I just returned it to save space in the closet- ha!
Overall, this sale was okay. I was not planning on buying anything and only ended up getting things that I thought I would get a lot of wear out of. Most everything will come back in stock and go back on sale prior to Fall, so no fret if you missed out on the sale price. And if it doesn’t come back in stock, you can be thankful that you will not match every blogger on the internet 😛
