I have not done a wedding Wednesday post in a while, so why not kick it back up by introducing my bridesmaids! When choosing my bridesmaids, I started thinking of my best friends- I have always been incredibly outgoing and I feel like I had a big group of friends everywhere I went! These ladies have been with me through the highs and the lows, know literally everything about me, and I know they will be there throughout my life as well. Without, further ado! Here are my bridesmaids!
Kaitlyn and I met in 5th grade when we were both in Mrs. Wilson’s homeroom class. Kaitlyn and I actually lived on the same street, so we would always ride our bikes to the center point, then go to her house! I vividly remember watching movies in her parents basement, “squirrel hunting” in our camouflage that my grandma bought us at Atwoods (LOL), and walking to her moms classroom after school. Kaitlyn and I have remained great friends through ups, downs, and bad boyfriends! I am so excited to have her as my maid of honor.
2009/2010 at Dads House 2019 in Nashville for Hollys Bachelorette Party
Holly and I met when she was born. Holly is not only my little sister, but one of my truest friends. We have always been close as sisters, but I do not think we got close as friends until around the High School age. Then once college age rolled around we hung out more as friends than just at a family dinner. Holly is hilarious, kind, smart, and crafty! (She made the first we have on in the second picture!) I stood by her on her big day, now its her turn to stand by me.
2012 at the Sig Ep Christmas Party 2019 in Austin, TX for Nicole’s Bachelorette Party
Nicole and I met in 2012 when we both became members of Zeta Tau Alpha. We both ran around in the same friend group and I think I have about 200 pictures that are identical to the first one-only in different costumes. Haha! Nicole has the biggest heart of gold and literally gets me like no-one else does. We are soooo much alike its a little scary. Nicole got married in November and was also one of the most gorgeous brides EVER. I am so happy she is standing by me on the biggest day of my life so far.
2010 Prom 2019 Engagement Party
Lakyn and I met in middle school as well. I am pretty sure it is also during peewee cheerleading. We have always been good friends, but our friendship has blossomed so much in the last few years. Lakyn is a walking light and radiates joy no matter where she is. We have butted heads, had “awkward times” during college- I don’t even know what you would call it except our sororities historically didn’t get along.. LOL. Our friendship is now full of love, laughter, and so many dogs my heart can not handle it.
2014 Darius Rucker concert 2019 bowling when Kyla about broke her knee
Kyla and I met at this random house in Russellville called Masde (hahaha). It was before sorority recruitment so she couldn’t talk to me, and all I remember is thinking about how fun she was and I wanted to be her friend. Turns out, she was best friends with my big so that in turn got me to be her friend! Kyla actually was moving to Fayetteville for her Master’s Program, and I was transferring up there for undergrad and we became roommates. I can not begin to tell you how many laughs we shared. I learned to put vinegar in everything, how to not take life too seriously, and and how to be a good friend.
2013 ATU Homecoming Event 2019 My Engagement Party
Speaking of my big, Hannah was my big!!!! Going through recruitment I wanted Hannah to be my big sister so bad.. it is funny though because I was so scared to even talk to her! Thankfully she got my drift because it all worked out. Hannah is one of the most talented individuals. She can calligraphy and decorate like a master, and her kind heart is unmatched. (also check out her instagram @jumperscorner for major heart eyes)
2008 Pool Parties 2019 Our 6th(ish?) time to Vegas together!
Tori and I met in 6th grade. Her homeroom class was right next door to mine. I do not recall when we actually met though- maybe peewee cheerleading? Regardless, we became inseparable in 2006/2007 during 7th grade cheerleading and our all-star team. Tori’s home quickly became my second place of residence. We sharpied my hair then jumped in the pool (see first picture) then my hair turned green, we went to Wild River County COUNTLESS times, dressed crazy just to go to Walmart and buy food, and many pre-cheer dinners at the Dragon. Tori has been a lifelong friend with sooooo many memories.
I have been incredibly blessed with so many amazing people in my life. These girls are my rocks and keep me sane and balanced. I know then standing next to me on my big day will help calm my nerves, as well as make me SO EXCITED to see them when I walk down the aisle. EEEEEK. We are SO CLOSE.
